It's much more than s'mores and sing-alongs: summer camps should provide lifelong memories
and skills. Camp lets kids play in a way they rarely do in their own neighborhoods these days.
It takes them away from computers, TV, and other high-tech time-suckers, swapping them for
conversation, fun, and games in a nurturing setting. And perhaps most important, camps are
no-parent zones. Kids learn about being part of a community and to cope with the temporary
separation. Day camps are a good starting point if your kids are homebodies who didn't want
to leave for a day. In Pinot’s Palette Apex, this summer we offer two week-long day camps - one
in June, and the other in July.

June 17th to June 21st is our ‘Magic Creatures’ summer camp:

| Safari Week |
July 22nd to July 26th is our “Safari Week’ summer camp:

you will encounter during your safari. These beautiful paintings will not only stimulate kids’
imagination, but also hone their fine motor skills, instill appreciation of fine art, as well as
encourage creativity.

On a typical camp day, we open studio door at 8:30am. You can drop off your kids off between
8:30 and 9:00am. At 9am we start our daily orientation which informs and prepares kids about
the activities during the day. We then work with them to set up for painting. We will paint for a
while and then take a snack break, followed by our craft project of the day. Then we will go back
to paint some more. Soon it will be story/game time, we will divide into small groups to enjoy
books and board games. We will go back to finish our painting so we can enjoy our lunch together.
We continue to play some ‘team building’ games after lunch while waiting for parents to pick them
up at 1:00pm. The studio closes at 1:30pm.
